Inflam Ease Plus

The natural way to deal with chronic inflammation

If you have back pain, your knees hurt, or you have joint pain all over — what do you do? If you’re like most Americans, you pop a few of those over-the-counter drugs such as ibuprofen or naproxen that promise to make all your wildest dreams come true. There’s another approach, a natural one that won’t send you to an early grave. But first, let’s clarify a few facts about anti-inflammatory drugs.

The drugs that we’re talking about are called NSAIDs, which is an acronym for “non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.” These drugs were once prescription-only, but now you can pick up a variety of them at any local drugstore. Among the brand names are Aleve or Naprosyn (naproxen) and Advil or Motrin (ibuprofen). There are even stronger anti-inflammatory drugs, such as celecoxib (brand name Celebrex), but they require a prescription as their side effects can be much worse.

Two primary benefits of NSAIDs are that they address pain and inflammation. However, they have a laundry list of side effects, including heart attack and stroke (except for aspirin, which has been used to treat cardiovascular issues). One controversial paper published in 1999 in The New England Journal of Medicine said that deaths were 16,500 per year. However, an article published in 2013 in Practical Pain Management said that number is overestimated, such as the 3,200 estimated deaths by another study is probably more accurate. Whatever the exact number, people are still dying!

Another issue with anti-inflammatory drugs, which should be of special concern to athletes, is that they interfere with the healing process. The Archives of Internal Medicine found that in four days or less, NSAIDs could reverse the entire healing phase. Of course, NSAIDs have value. For example, with injuries that require surgery, the operation has to be postponed until the inflammation settles down, and NSAIDs can decrease this waiting period. That said, what are the alternatives to drugs?

One answer is nutraceuticals, which are natural products that perform the same functions as drugs with minimal or no side effects. One such nutraceutical product is Inflam Ease Plus, one of the four supplements in the Strength Sensei Poliquin Series.

Inflam Ease Plus is based upon Ayurvedic medicine, a healing system created over 3,000 years ago in India. The product contains a combination of herbal ingredients that fight inflammation. Here are the six major ingredients in Inflam Ease Plus.

Ginger root powder. Provides enzymatic activities that promote healthy inflammatory markers.

Curcumin Extract. Turmeric is that popular yellow spice used in curry powders, and curcumin is its primary active ingredient. It has been used to manage inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and has been studied for its effect on reducing the ability of cancer cells to multiply! This proprietary blend improves the bioavailability (absorption) of curcumin by 2,000 percent!

Boswellia serrata gum extract, white willow bark extract, and devil’s claw extract. Phytochemicals are bioactive nutrition plant compounds. These three compounds included in Inflam Ease Plus have been proven valuable in promoting healthy inflammatory markers.

Hops Extract. Flavonoids are plant compounds, and a molecule found in the female hops flower has been shown to promote healthy inflammatory markers.

The powerful herbal ingredients in Inflam Ease Plus are formulated to fight inflammation and support immune function and overall health. Yes, NSAIDs are valuable drugs, but consider the natural approach to fighting inflammation with products such as Inflam Ease Plus. (TSS)
